The Kawasaki H2R motorcycle has to be my ultimate bike. The one bike I dream of owning. When chatting to Kawasaki UK about photographing I knew I had to create something different.
We discussed using a tunnel location to photograph the bike in and off I went in search of a great location. Everything fell into place when I contacted the team at Ramsgate Tunnels in Kent. What a venue, and what great staff too (also passionate about motorcycles – what could be better)
We booked in a date and started with all the preparation. I wanted to photograph the H2R in a unique and arty way. Capturing the dramatic look and feel of the bike. As well as including some details/close up shots.
The first image (Below), was captured first. Using the main tunnel (I can tell you it was a little spooky there) in the photograph. The bike did not disappoint, it was sleek and photographing the edges/lines of the bike was pure joy.
The next image was taken using one of the side tunnels. I loved the idea of the H2R just sneaking out. It created the perfect frame to show off the front of the bike. In an editorial style image with the wall to one side.
This last image was captured from above. Showing the bikes curves and figure. I love how the Kawasaki H2R motorcycle is shaped even from above it just has a sexiness about it.
I suggest if you are ever in kent to pop in and support the Ramsgate Tunnels. The staff are brilliant and its an amazing place to view and explore.
